Custom software for the work off-the-shelf packages don't fit.

We first study the work on site, with the people who do it. Then we build the software around the way your business runs today. Your team keeps working the way it knows, and management sees what it needs on one screen.

Solutions

Much of the work done on the shop floor never reaches the ERP.

Keeping shop floor records in a standard ERP means extra data entry on every shift. That entry often does not happen, and plan and actual drift apart.

Missing records

The answers to these questions are often not in the ERP.

Why did we miss the due date?

Planning is done in Excel. Only the result reaches the ERP, and the reason for the delay is lost.

Solution

The planner plans in the system. Whoever changes the plan also records the reason.

What does the part really cost?

If repairs, extra operations and sorting are not recorded, the part is costed as if it came out right the first time.

Solution

The quality inspector opens the rework record during inspection. The record goes straight into the part's cost.

How long was the machine down?

Breakdowns stay in a notebook. Downtime never reaches the plan or the cost.

Solution

Maintenance opens and closes the breakdown record, so downtime is visible per machine.

Where is the record during an audit?

Inspection results are on paper forms and certificates are in binders. When an auditor asks for a record, finding it takes time.

Solution

Inspection results and certificates are linked to the lot. The record an auditor asks for is found by lot or work order number.

How we solve it

We start every job on site and find, with the people who do the work, where the information gets lost. We take what the machine reports directly from the machine. The person doing the work enters the rest on their own screen. No separate data entry is needed, and cost, plan and quality rest on the same record.

Featured projects

Each project was built around one plant's own work.

One-off jobs and serial parts are tracked in the same system. For serial work, every step of a part from receiving to shipment is on record. Each person enters only the data that belongs to their own job.

Quality runs in the same system. From defect reports and customer complaints to audits and 8D, every record reaches its owner as a task and is followed until it is closed.

Basic quality management system software

For ISO 9001 · IATF 16949 · AS9100 audits

Designed for businesses that use an ERP but still keep quality records in Excel and binders. Setup is quick. If the business later moves to a custom system, the records carry over without re-entry.

Modules
Control plan and inspectionThe inspector runs incoming, in-process and final inspections to the control plan and enters the measured values.
Nonconformity, 8D and CAPAInternal, supplier and customer nonconformances are opened with the 8D steps. Each step has an owner and a due date.
Document controlProcedures, instructions and forms are kept under revision control. The team on the floor sees only the latest revision.
Certificate archiveMaterial certificates are matched to lots and orders. Quality staff find any certificate by its number.
Internal audit and competenceInternal audit plans, findings and closures are kept together. Staff competence and training status are visible in the same place.
CalibrationThe system warns when a gauge is due for calibration. Its schedule and certificates are on the same record.

Audits

When an auditor asks for a record, the company shows it from the system.

When we set up the system, we take into account the records the standard asks for. Records are linked to the work order and the lot, so they are easy to find.

How we work

The software is put into use step by step, from discovery to live use.

At every phase, the work of the business and of Renex is clearly defined. The next phase starts only when the current one is complete.

Live use

Business
The planner, the quality engineer and the shift supervisor explain how the work runs today. The Excel files and forms in use are also collected at this stage.
One line or process is chosen and run with real work orders. The final approval of each screen comes from the operator who will use it.
The business chooses the next module. Old data is cleaned up together with Renex and moved to the new system.
New products, customer audits or change requests come through a single channel and are added to the release notes.
Renex
Discovery is done on site. The scope is written from the work we see on the floor.
Fixes from the floor reach the screen quickly in a new release.
New modules are added to the same database. ERP and machine integrations also go live at this stage.
In live use, support and development continue along with the business's new needs.
